Services

Every guitar’s got its own story.
I don’t keep a flat-rate price list because no two instruments—or players—are ever quite the same. Each setup or repair starts with a conversation about how your guitar feels, what it’s doing (or not doing), and what you want from it. Once I’ve seen it, I’ll give you a fair, straightforward estimate before any work begins. No surprises—just honest craft and a shared goal of getting your instrument playing its best.

  • SETUP

    Playability starts here.
Every instrument—and every player—is a little different. A proper setup dials in how your guitar feels and responds to you. Whether it’s new, vintage, or just out of tune with the seasons, a good setup makes it easier to play and sound its best.

    Typical work includes:
    • Neck relief & truss rod adjustments
    • Nut and saddle height
    • Action and intonation
    • Pickup balance
    • Fret and hardware check

A well-set-up guitar plays in tune, feels smooth, and lets your playing shine.

  • FRET WORK

    Smooth. Level. Precise.
Frets are where your playing meets the instrument. Over time, they wear, lift, or just lose their edge. Quality fretwork restores accuracy, tone, and feel—keeping your guitar easy to play and properly intonated.

    Typical work includes:
    • Fret leveling and dressing
    • Crown and polish
    • Partial or full refrets
    • End dressing and smoothing
    • Fingerboard cleaning and oiling

When your frets feel right, your whole guitar feels alive.

  • ELECTRONICS

    Quiet signal, strong tone.
Crackling pots, dead pickups, or unwanted hum can turn a great guitar into a headache. Whether you need a clean rewire, upgraded components, or custom switching, we’ll make sure your sound is clear, responsive, and noise-free.

    Typical work includes:
    • Pickup installs and rewinds
    • Pot, jack, and switch replacement
    • Custom wiring and modifications
    • Shielding and noise reduction
    • Output and balance testing

    Tone starts with clean connections.

*Because of reliability issues, we do not accept or use any customer-supplied wiring parts other than pickups.*

  • NUT & SADDLE FABRICATION

The foundation of tone and feel.
A hand-cut nut or saddle is one of the simplest—and most transformative—upgrades you can make. Proper spacing, height, and material bring better tone, sustain, and tuning stability.

    Typical work includes:
    • Custom bone nut cutting
    • Acoustic saddle shaping
    • Slot filing and polishing
    • Spacing and intonation adjustments
    • Replacement of worn factory parts

A perfect fit brings the instrument to life.

  • HARDWARE INSTALLATION

    DescriptionUpgrades that perform and last.
From bridges and tuners to strap buttons and tremolos, precise hardware installation ensures everything works as it should. No stripped screws, misaligned parts, or guesswork—just clean, accurate work.

    Typical work includes:
    • Bridge and tailpiece installs
    • Tuning machine upgrades
    • Strap button and strap lock installs
    • Tremolo setups and adjustments
    • Pickguard and hardware replacement
